There are three different subscription packages to suit your business. There is also an option to buy additional minutes and user licenses, making Pixelate a really flexible option for all of your video redaction needs.
This depends on how busy your video is – on average a 3 minute video takes about 10 minutes of active time to complete.
No, we’ve designed it to be extremely user friendly. All customers receive a “how-to” video and guide when they sign up.
Pixelate has a completely auditable log of video redaction and compliance with all current and future data protection regulations, and end-to-end advanced encryption of all footage. Data is processed in the UK, and user access control is secure.
Your original video is not stored by Ocucon and is only held in memory for the period up to and including detection. At this point, the original video is redacted and the original permanently deleted.

Cloud storage is the term for saving files to a secure remote storage system, which is accessed online instead of, or in addition to, saving files on an NVR or computer hard drive. Data saved to the cloud can be accessed quickly and securely from anywhere in the world.
The long-term storage aspect refers to the period of time in which footage is saved. Typically, organisations are limited to the amount of surveillance footage that can be saved to physical servers, given the sheer scale and size of data.

Cloud-based storage offers users the facility to globally access saved surveillance footage from anywhere in the world, at any time. Cloud-based storage also provides unlimited capacity for storing data.
Uncapped storage reduces the risk for clients to delete archived footage to make space for new incoming footage. The unnecessary deletion of information may become a vital piece of evidence later.

There is no limit to the number of users that can be set up with Ocucon. All users will have their own login credentials and can be assigned different access controls, should this be required.
Downloading an incident report is an easy and simple process. Once you have logged into the Ocucon portal, users simply create an incident, input the search criteria (date, time etc.) to download a summary report and video footage. This information can then be used as evidence against potential claims.

Ocucon software is installed within one working day; however, it can take up to 60 days to install a dedicated communications line. On average, the time from initial enquiry to completion and installation of software is typically two months.

“The Data Protection Act does not prescribe any specific minimum or maximum retention periods which apply to all systems or footage. Rather, retention should reflect the organisation’s purposes for recording information. The retention period should be informed by the purpose for which the information is collected and how long it is needed to achieve this purpose. It should not be kept for longer than is necessary, and should be the shortest period necessary to serve your own purpose. This should not be determined simply by the storage capacity of a system.
Where it is not necessary to retain information, for example, it does not achieve the purpose for which you are collecting and retaining information, then it should be deleted.
You should not keep information for longer than strictly necessary to meet your purposes for recording it. On occasion, you may need to retain information for a longer period, where a law enforcement body is investigating a crime and ask for it to be preserved, to give them opportunity to view the information as part of an active investigation.”

- Have you decided on the shortest period that you need to retain the information, based upon your purpose for recording it?
- Is your information retention policy documented and understood by those who operate the system?
- Are measures in place to ensure the permanent deletion of information through secure methods at the end of this period?
- Do you undertake systematic checks to ensure that the retention period is being complied with in practice?
